go to Hong kong and you will find good clothes for sure. if not come to toronto
cause we have plenty of asian malls, mainly chinese malls, to buy clothes
from.
dont forget that the ppl featured in tokyo drift are only a small section of all
asian style, which include taiwan, korea, china, hong kong and japan.
sneakers converse star or
adidas superstar 2 shoes
simple running jackets
obscure logo t-shirts
faded jeans with maybe some logo stitched on.
and maybe a good trucker hat
got mines from a Quicksilver shop but i
havent seen any here yet.
lol just finished my last exams yesterday ^^ no more studying XO
first day back on MT =P
now, about the wall ^^
the vector is awesome for a first time (my first vector didnt even have outlines
^^;;;)
colour fills are pretty good but i see a part of a sakura petal sticking out
from a skin layer on his neck.
for his eyes, i know its difficult to get accurate colour dropper points on the
scan,
but kubo tite's drawings usually have an actual pupil within the eye, and
probably some 'eyeshine' at the bottom parts of the eyes.
i like the overall concept of the bg, very simple. maybe adding some floral
prints very lightly over parts of the bg might help it along.
misa has pretty much covered everything but ill still put my two cents in.
for the scan, i would try to draw in the bits of hair missing at the top and try
to finish the flames. also try to blend in the edges of the scan so it doesnt
stick out as a box shape.
i would also take away the extra 2 scans that are blended into the bg. try to
focus on that one scan in the middle.
also maybe remove the text entirely so its just the person inside the
flames.
overall, its pretty good, just fix it up a bit ^__^
hmm well that approach might help to unify people but it would really take away
from diversity etc. cause everyone would be speaking only one language.
the collage idea has been seen before but still, kudos to you for trying you
hand at it ^^
but i agree with mikare, its a bit too busy for a desktop. try to focus on one
particular scan and work with it.
for the lyrics wall, focus on one verse and work a theme around it.
you got some great starts to some walls.
good luck ^^
seriously i think youve got a good wall here.
only thing is, like bluSake and tareren said, change the texture a bit.
right now its too printed pixel look and the pattern is too continous. randomize
a bit and be more crazy with the brushes.
also get a very small brush and go to blur setting at an exteremely low % and
run along the edges of the scan cause its too cut looking still. the blur will
help soften the edges of the scan and help it blend more into the bg.
other than that its an awesome start.
tell me when you uploaded to MT.
im assuming you did a vector and if you did is pretty good.
only thing is that i dont recommend using a screenshot or another scan for the
bg.
maybe stick with some brushwork or some grunge effect and you can make it
better
dont really like how the star field permeates the whole wall.
remember greg martin's star tuts are only for SPACE view bgs.
i also dont really like how the scan is stretched out and semi transparent.
maybe it was resized wrong?
the water has way too many ripples that look somewhat like stars with a motion
blur applied >__> try to smooth it out a bit so it looks like water cause
right now its too much going on.
water lotuses are way too bright. try to dim them a bit by applying
filters.
lol i think the law of nature has been corrupted this time
anyway you gota work at it and put some thought into a wall before putting it
together.
keep it up
also it appears that youve used a screenshot for the bg, not recommended
>__>
unless you know what your doing.
need to use a bit of creativity when walling cause seriously it looks like all
you did was extract the scan, duplicate it enlarge and changed opacity over a
screen shot of a tennis match.
i get the tennis theme but youre going to have to come up with something better
than that to submit it to MT
im kinda torn on this one. the scene looks well constructed but some elements
need some touching up.
1) scan quality is a bit low, cause it looks a bit grainy and blurry. remember,
pick high quality scans when walling or vector trace the LQ ones to clean it
up
2)window frame is a nice idea, but it definitely needs more texture to make it
look wooden. right now its too smooth.
3)the seascape somehow strikes me as almost surrealistic, unless thats what you
were going for oO i seriously feel like im in the twilight zone cause i cant
tell if its sunrise or sunset. usually sunrise or sunset has the sky in shades
of pink, yellows etc. and the sky blue like that looks like a gigantic moon is
rising out of the ocean.
4) the sky is nice but remove the snowflake type stars cause they look a bit
artifical
with a bit of work this could be a nice wall ^___^
^ a lil blurry >___> the 'R' is a bit pixelated too.
5/10
i'm chinese so i hope that can do

again the extraction is terrible and its not a great idea to take a scan and paste it over a screenshot >__<
the scan is sort of low quality cause it looks sketchy.
bg is semi ok, but it looks too filtered. try adding some brush work.
also you gota change the text choice
seriously i dont see anything in the wall that says you spent time and effort to make it
all i see is a scan slapped onto a simple bg. nothing too special.
i agree with the mods decision to put this one into quarantine.
you gota actually make a wall rather than extract and paste.
nees to be customized cause anyone can be a 'fan'

i like the transparency but its a bit too blurred.

.. if you read my other post youll know that it applies to this wall as well.
you gota use some creatity when making walls
extraction definitley needs work.
also it appears that youve used a screenshot for the bg, not recommended >__>
